But anyway, you didn’t outright say: “Forget about aid”, but your started your appeal with, “i’m really not happy that i have to do this.” which uses human emotion to get a response.
Besides, the point is, it IS an appeal, which means you had to market it, and make your cause seem more worthwhile than any other.
That means people forget about aid, or whatever cause they were going to use the money for, and give it to you.
